Coming off Nick Saban’s record-setting sixth national championship at Alabama and seventh overall, the Crimson Tide appear to be the frontrunner to win it all again this fall as the leader of a top-heavy group at the top of the rankings. However, the SEC heavyweight isn’t the only squad getting substantial love in lookahead polls based on roster projections, schedule favorability and the potential road to the Playoff.
