CBS Sports reveals latest college basketball rankings

It’s finally March! The NCAA Tournament is just around the corner, and fans have waited way too long for the excitement to return after last year’s tourney was canceled due to COVID-19. Most conference races are just about wrapped up, and more than a few leagues have already started their tournaments too. So the stakes are higher than ever this weekend, and the slate looks excellent.

Duke and North Carolina might not be in the top 25, but they’re still battling to make the NCAA Tournament. Those teams will face off on Saturday, and there’s also a top-10 game between No. 4 Illinois and No. 7 Ohio State in Columbus, Ohio. Big Ten rivals Indiana and No. 23 Purdue will go head to head in West Lafayette, Ind., and No. 8 West Virginia will host Cade Cunningham and No. 17 Oklahoma State.

Sunday brings more juicy matchups. No. 18 Texas Tech visits No. 3 Baylor and No. 5 Iowa hosts No. 25 Wisconsin.
