Miles McBride scored a career-high 29 points, Taz Sherman had a career-best 25 and West Virginia kept pushing all game long, beating No. 23 Kansas 91-79 on Saturday.

The Mountaineers (13-5, 6-3 Big 12) never trailed and got off to a good start in a challenging stretch where they will play six straight opponents that are currently ranked.

McCabe added to NHL’s COVID Protocol List

The National Hockey League announced today that Buffalo Sabres defenseman Jake McCabe has been added to the NHL’s COVID-19 Protocol List. He will not be available for practices, travel or games until he is removed from the protocol.

The Sabres annnounced Thursday morning that head coach Ralph Krueger tested positive for COVID-19 and had immediately entered the league’s COVID protocol.

Four other players are also currently in protocol. Forward Taylor Hall and Rasmus Ristolainen were added to the list Tuesday, and forward Tobias Rieder and defenseman Brandon Montour entered protocol on Wednesday.

Despite the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic that affected some revenue streams, the Southeastern Conference managed to fractionally increase its overall income and its per-school payouts during its 2019-20 fiscal year.
