Syracuse, N.Y. — The betting for tonight’s Syracuse-Louisville game is tipping in the Orange’s favor.
The SU men’s basketball team (10-5 overall, 4-4 in the ACC) is a slight favorite over the Cardinals (11-4, 6-3) for Wednesday’s game at the Carrier Dome. The point spread is 2, according to Vegas Insider, and the over/under is 140.5 points as of Wednesday morning; some other betting sites have the matchup even closer.
Syracuse is generally considered to be in the mix for an at-large bid to this year’s NCAA Tournament but not in the field at the moment. A win over Louisville would boost their March Madness hopes, plus the Orange have played well at home this season with a 9-1 record despite not having any fans in the Dome.
Louisville is coming off a 74-58 win over Georgia Tech on Monday and bracketologists are already projecting the Cardinals will be in the tourney. The team features grad transfer Carlik Jones, who is currently averaging 17.4 points per game with 4.8 assists, and three-point threat David Johnson.
